Tried Vmware player with Kubuntu 9.04.
Asked it to update to 9.10. Was surprised by the speed of iitk repository. Found repository from this -> ubuntu mirror page -> worldwide list -> -> finally
But it was worth all the step.
Super fast upgrade to 9.10 :).
But once i restarted all of stuff in kde was missing..kde menu, dash board everything...
Anyway had been hearing from my brother on awesome window manager. So tried it. Super light it is! Super fast. That way... it is awesome.
First challenge increase display resolution inside vmware.
xrandr is the command leant today. Without any arguments prints the available and current resolution.
To set:
xrandr -s
Number is the number from list.
Mine was 16 or something.
Next need to tune key board shortcuts learn more on tailing.
